Happy Baseball!
For at least a few more hours, everyone's undefeated. No one's in a slump. And it's all about hope for the coming season.

Ricky Bobby, you taste of America
The hand that types these letters high-fived the one and only Stephen Colbert yesterday. It felt, as you might imagine, like freedom.
On my train ride home from the city, I alternately dozed off and listened to The Hold Steady's cover of the Bob Dylan tune "Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?" I love when bands find songs to cover that fit their personality and sound so well, and this song fit the bill 100%.

Extra Inning Heroics
Holy fucking shit. Is there anything more exciting than being at the Stadium for a Sunday night, 5-4, 10 inning victory over the Boston Red Sox? I think not. And the winning run, driven in by a rookie, off Papelbon, no less! I'm so amped up I'll never get to sleep tonight.
